Houda Bakkali presents Digital Art, Digital Culture at the Alliance Française Kandy as part of Novembre Numérique 2024, an international initiative led by the Institut Français aimed at promoting access to digital culture and emerging technologies through artistic and educational projects.

The exhibition examines the capacity of digital art to extend traditional exhibition models, facilitating access, learning and cultural exchange across diverse audiences, beyond spatial, temporal and generational boundaries.

Through the integration of physical artworks, augmented reality, multimedia and immersive content, the project highlights the adaptability of digital art practices across different cultural and geographic contexts. The exhibition is accompanied by educational and interpretative materials that contextualize digital tools, creative processes and the applications of digital art within contemporary visual culture.

The exhibition centers on the female figure and gaze, as a tribute to the artist’s mother. Through the use of intense colors, dynamic forms, and an intersection of illustration with voluptuous flowers, it seeks to convey a joyful, hopeful, and optimistic vision of life.
