Santa Cruz de la Sierra | Bolivia
The Alliance Française of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) presents, until April 19, the exhibition Women and Digital Art by Houda Bakkali. The exhibition integrates physical and digital artworks in which the use of augmented reality, animation, and interactive elements predominates, proposing an exhibition format that allows the public to explore new forms of artistic interaction and interpretation.
Through the convergence of physical media and digital technologies, the exhibition examines the potential of the combination of creativity and digital tools to expand the boundaries of the traditional exhibition space, promoting access, learning, and cultural exchange among diverse audiences beyond spatial, temporal, or generational barriers.
The use of technologies such as augmented reality, virtual environments, and multimedia resources strengthens the communication between the artwork, the exhibition space, and the public. This approach encourages a participatory and bidirectional experience, in which visitor interaction becomes a key element of the process of cultural and educational exchange.
The exhibition features the female figure and gaze as its central theme, in tribute to the artist’s mother. Through the use of intense colors, dynamic forms, and an interplay between illustration and voluptuous flowers, it seeks to convey a joyful, hopeful, and optimistic vision of life.
