Statement
In this project, a living practice in constant evolution, art and tech explain, communicate, and build new medical and scientific narratives. It becomes a space for learning, reflection, and experimentation through physical works, XR/AR/VR content, audiovisual media, immersive and interactive pieces.
This project uses art as an interface and technology as a medium to bring science and medical knowledge closer to people, without spatial, temporal, or generational barriers. It aims to promote digital literacy and enhance health communication through immersive, interactive and multimedia creative spaces.
Likewise it encourages reflection on the importance of rigor, critical thinking, and debate in understanding the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies, while learning to build new narratives through the evolution of a technology that poses significant challenges but also fosters participation, autonomy, and the dissemination of knowledge.
What is the role of artworks and artistic practice in the field of health communication?
This project explores the role and agency of artistic practice within health communication, engaging diverse publics through creativity and digital technologies. It examines the challenges, opportunities, and tensions that emerge when integrating art as an interface and technology as an activator within these practices. The project is grounded in my professional trajectory, critical reflection, and experience in the field.
Rationale
By combining physical art, motion graphics, interactivity, and augmented reality, the project creates an immersive storytelling experience focused on the impact of technology and art on science and medical communication.

A practical example is bringing art as an interface for science into academic contexts through workshops and masterclasses that empower diverse audiences from different countries and cultures around the world to understand the use, challenges, and advantages of technologies in promoting medical and scientific knowledge through art and immersive experiences, which I have had the honor of developing across different countries worldwide through the Alliance Française network.

While the initial objective may be to capture attention and engage audiences through the artwork—or through the experience offered by the canvas and its multiple digital extensions—this attraction must function as a meaningful entry point.
Curiosity should operate as a symbolic and recognizable gateway, always maintaining coherence with the purpose of transmitting medical and scientific knowledge. In this sense, aesthetic decisions are not merely decorative; they must remain perfectly aligned with the educational and communicative intention of the work, ensuring that artistic expression supports, rather than distracts from, the clarity and integrity of scientific content.

When working with medical content through artistic practice, rigor must be absolute. Both the medical information and the simulations communicated through creative projects must be fully supported by accredited and reliable sources.
