- Tertulias Noche Gli+ch, 2024
From August 6 to November 30, 2024, the Alliance Française de Cali presents the artistic work of Houda Bakkali. The exhibition brings together physical and digital works in which the use of augmented reality, animation, and interactive elements predominates, proposing an exhibition format that allows the public to explore new forms of artistic interaction and interpretation.
Through the convergence of physical media and digital technologies, the exhibition examines the potential of the combination of creativity and digital tools to expand the boundaries of the traditional exhibition space, promoting access, learning, and cultural exchange among diverse audiences beyond spatial, temporal, or generational barriers.
The use of technologies such as augmented reality, virtual environments, and multimedia resources strengthens communication between the artwork, the exhibition space, and the audience. This approach encourages a participatory and bidirectional experience, in which visitor interaction becomes a key element of the cultural and educational exchange process.
The exhibition places the female figure and gaze at its core, as a tribute to the artist’s mother. Through the use of intense colors, dynamic forms, and an intersection between illustration and voluptuous flowers, the exhibition seeks to convey a joyful, hopeful, and optimistic vision of life.

Tertulias Noche Gli+ch, 2024
The Alliance Française de Cali hosted Tertulias Noche Gli+ch, an initiative by Colectivo Lóbulo Frontal and the Alliance Française de Cali that marked the culmination of the cultural events and discussion forums promoted by both organizations alongside local and international artists. The gathering brought together creatives who have participated in the project over the past two years, featuring musical performances, screenings, debates, and artistic interventions.
Bakkali presented an audiovisual and interactive projection exploring the versatility of art through animation, immersive spaces, and augmented reality. Through multidisciplinary environments that merge creativity and information, the work encourages reflection, imagination, and audience participation, transforming technology into a tool for connection and interaction.
The piece selected by Houda Bakkali for the event, “The Duality of Art,” symbolizes the power of art to unite the homogeneous and the heterogeneous through color, voluptuous forms, and the fusion of the female figure with nature and technology, connecting future and legacy. During the presentation, audiences also experienced the work through immersive augmented reality.
