Houda Bakkali Exhibits “Passionately” at Dreamverse, New York’s Landmark Web3 Art Festival

Houda Bakkali exhibited “Passionately” at Dreamverse in New York City, as part of TIMEPieces, TIME magazine’s inaugural Web3 community initiative. The work was Bakkali’s first NFT created for TIME, placing her among the artists selected for the publication’s first major venture into Web3 and digital art.

Created through digital illustration and collage and conceived with an animated dimension, “Passionately” pays tribute to the artist’s mother, a recurring muse in Bakkali’s work. Inspired by Mediterranean colors, the piece celebrates happiness, creativity, passion, feminine strength and an optimistic vision of life.

Held in New York on November 4, 2021, Dreamverse was presented as the world’s first NFT Art and Music Festival. Its daytime gallery brought together more than 150 artists, with works curated by Metapurse, TIME and leading artists.

For Bakkali, participation in Dreamverse therefore represented more than an exhibition: it connected her work with TIME’s first generation of Web3 initiatives at a formative moment in the history of digital art
