Houda Bakkali’s practice explores the convergence of art, technology, and communication through immersive, digital, and physical media. Her work examines how visual narratives can transform complex information into accessible, participatory, and meaningful experiences. Since 2008, her work has evolved through digital art and culture. Since 2009, she has developed a long-term body of work dedicated to medical and scientific communication, conducting more than 200 interviews with physicians and specialists across multiple disciplines while creating editorial, multimedia, educational, and immersive projects focused on healthcare awareness, prevention, and public engagement. Working internationally, Houda Bakkali develops multidisciplinary projects situated between artistic practice, technological innovation, education, and public communication. Her work has been presented across the 5 continents and in more than 25 countries, including pioneering immersive exhibitions developed within international airports, alongside collaborations with cultural institutions, educational platforms, civic centres, and global cultural programmes. Her contribution to health communication and digital creativity has received extensive global recognition, including 5 American Illustration Awards (New York), the International Motion Awards (New York), 4 Graphis Silver Awards (New York), the New Talent Award at the International Festival Artists of the World in Cannes, France, and other distinctions for innovation in visual communication. Her work has also been featured by leading creative platforms including the London International Creative Competition, the Paris Design Awards, and Creative Quarterly (New York). Alongside her exhibitions and international projects, she develops educational programmes, masterclasses, and public engagement initiatives in collaboration with cultural institutions, universities, organisations, and private entities. in 2021 she was invited by TIME magazine to participate in its inaugural Web3 artist platform, and her work continues to explore the role of art and technology as tools for knowledge, communication, and contemporary cultural dialogue. Houda Bakkali’s visual universe is shaped by the female figure, inspired by her own mother. Her work weaves together vector illustration, acrylic painting, animation, immersive and interactive experiences, where colour and flowers emerge as visual elements and symbols of hope, strength, and optimism.
