Houda Bakkali was officially received by the Municipality of Sanremo during a civic ceremony attended by Mayor Alberto Biancheri and President of the City Council Alessandro Il Grande. On this occasion, she presented The Flowers of Happiness, a mixed-media artwork enhanced with augmented reality, conceived as a tribute to Sanremo, the City of Flowers.
Following the official reception, the artwork was exhibited at the Museum of Flowers (Museo del Fiore), where it was formally received by Councillor for Culture Silvana Ormea. The event marked the first official public presentation of Houda Bakkali’s work in Italy, highlighting the dialogue between digital innovation, immersive art and cultural heritage.
