Houda Bakkali presented her work Barcelona Beyond Art at the Reial Cercle Artístic of Barcelona, one of the city’s most historic cultural institutions with a legacy spanning more than 140 years. The exhibition integrates mixed-media painting, augmented reality, multimedia, and interactive content, with the Arab woman as its central figure, as a tribute to her mother.
The project established a dialogue between artistic heritage and digital innovation, exploring how emerging technologies can expand traditional artistic practices and exhibition spaces without replacing them, while opening new opportunities for cultural institutions, cultural tourism and educational contexts.
