Extended Reality and Cultural Heritage Innovation by Houda Bakkali

Houda Bakkali presented Dulcinea’s Reverie, an artwork from her Dulcinea and Don Quixote in the Digital Age project, initiated in 2023. This Extended Reality (XR) project reimagines one of literature’s greatest classics through large-scale artworks, augmented reality, immersive experiences, multimedia storytelling and educational workshops on digital art.

Bakkali’s project explores how immersive technologies can connect cultural heritage, education and digital innovation through new participatory experiences, expanding literary narratives beyond the printed page and creating new opportunities for cultural participation and public engagement, connecting with new audiences beyond generational, physical or temporal limits.
