The intersection of creativity, visual culture, and emerging technologies within Houda Bakkali’s practice has received extensive international recognition. Her work has been honoured with the New Talent Award at the International Festival Artists of the World in Cannes, France, an event supported by the City Council of Cannes, alongside 5 American Illustration Awards (New York) and 4 Graphis Silver Awards (New York).

Her projects have also been recognised by international platforms including the London International Creative Competition, the Paris Design Awards, and Creative Quarterly (New York). Her work has been featured in 3×3 Magazine (New York), while the Canadian publication ArtAscent named her a Distinguished Artist on two occasions. She also received the Excellence Award from the French platform Circle Foundation for the Arts, among other international distinctions.

In 2020, her series Creativity Against COVID-19 became part of the global #UNCOVID19BRIEF initiative launched by the United Nations, later receiving recognition from the International Motion Awards (New York). Her contribution to health communication through art and emerging technologies has gained particular international recognition through projects focused on public health awareness and medical communication. In 2026, she received the American Illustration Award (New York) for Breast Cancer Awareness”, and in 2024 for “Art for Health”, two internationally recognised projects that explore how creativity, digital art, and visual culture can strengthen clarity, accessibility, and public engagement in healthcare communication.
